For some reason, this little project never made it to it’s own official blog post, even though it already appeared in the post about my old sewing room many many years ago. So before my recent move, I took the change to stage and photograph it a bit.

Being the ideal height between a desk and a regular side table, it was originally built to hold my cup of tea while I’m reading or knitting in my favourite chair, but has since been used for all kinds of things, from hallway table to nightstand.

It was made from scrap wood and came together easily – not a lot of planning or hustling. I especially like the colour, which turned out perfectly even though it was just some leftover paints mixed together. Sometimes you’re just lucky.
